Shivansh Fertilizer brings dead soil back to life in just one planting season, enabling farmers to reduce costs.
Our foundation tests simple and effective agricultural techniques at our research farm in New Delhi. Since 2014, our land has produced nutritious harvests year after year. We use no chemicals, less labor, and far less water than typical small farms found across the world.
Tens of thousands of farmers around India have been trained by The Hans Foundation, and its partners. Rural communities have gained income, food security, and significantly reduced malnourishment. Their degraded land has come back to life, and produces high quality produce, with no chemicals.
We started this initiative to identify nearly-free, high impact solutions for millions small-plot farmers around the world.
Shivansh Fertilizer is a cost-free fertilizer that can transform unproductive land into a thriving farm, enabling farmers to reduce, or completely eliminate the use of chemical farm inputs.
Most farmers in developing countries are caught in never-ending debt cycles from purchasing expensive farm inputs.
Our techniques offer a clear path for farmers to quickly revive the natural fertility of their soil using only materials a farmer could easily access, such as leaves, animal manure, and water.
Much of our work is inspired by ancient farming practices that sustained civilization for hundreds of generations. It’s quite simple; healthy soil, grows strong plants. This was the focus of previous generations of farmers, and it remains the focus of our foundation’s efforts today.
